Isles Canaria’s “We arrived right at the tricky shift change from lunch to dinner service, so it took about 10 minutes (and us asking) before we finally got menus—totally understandable given the timing. Once things got rolling, the staff were friendly and attentive. The real star, though, was the Cuban steak sandwich: hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly hot, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor. Worth the visit all on its own!” (5/5 for the food, slight hiccup on arrival timing that wasn’t really their fault.)
Juan Carlos my waiter was AMAZING! I flew down from Massachusetts just for this to get a taste of home that I miss. Everyone is so friendly and warm, the host, the girls working there. Thank you so much! This is a MUST STOP!! The breakfast is to die for, best potatoes and croquetas de la casa!!!!!
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food quality was excellent with really good flavors. The service was great, the staff were friendly, the night manager Adilis was attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of. Overall very good, makes you want to come back.
My niece was craving croquetas and of course we had to come to the best place that can offer that. We bought a party order of 25 croquetas and a croqueta preparada sandwich and they were both so delicious. The croquetas were warm and tasty and the croqueta preparada was filling. I loved how they added the papitas, which made it better. The service here is great. They gave me the order within minutes. They’re also very welcoming. I’m would definitely continue to come here for croquetas and a quick bite to eat.
They have great service and the food came out quick . They did have a specials menu and the braised lamb shanks with risotto was good , though it's not authentic Cuban , the risotto on its own was a dish . The portions are also a good amount to share for 2 people if you don't eat much . I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for delicious food .
Stopped for a mid afternoon lunch. It was delicious! Tamale was outstanding. Wow. My son had the lamb shank special and it was incredible. My daughter had shrimp with garlic and I had chicken with garlic. They were delicious but the protein portion was a little small. Husband had fried pork. It was a wonderful meal all around and we'd return! Service from Yoel was outstanding.
If you live in or visit Miami at any point, you should definitely experience Islas Canarias. This Miami staple serves classic Cuban food that is simple, yet beautifully executed. My husband and I stopped by for breakfast + both ordered the Desayuno Criollo which included eggs (I got scrambled with Swiss + he got scrambled with ham), protein (I got bacon + he got sausage), potato side (he got fries + I got house potatoes which were deliciousssss), cuban bread (very well buttered), and coffee (he got cafe con leche + was able to add his own coffee to his liking + I got a colada). The dish also includes 2 ham croquettas and they were definitely the star of the dish, these was the BEST IN MIAMI. My husband also ordered a single waffle which was simple but still yummy.
